January 2013. We began to observe an enormous explosion of communications, generated by social networks. We decided to create a directory with a unique profile. This time for people and not for companies.
The White Pages was a crucial component of the concept of the Yellow Pages. The time had passed where a directory, printed with millions of names and surnames, would be consulted. The demise of the printed directory formed part of the long list of activities with which our children would become unfamiliar. These were fast changing, but exciting times.
We decided to create a space where only social networking contacts would appear. We created a free directory with a viral expansion component, which awarded prizes and incentives to its participants, whereby friends invite friends.
Again the motto "Innovation is in our DNA" was gaining strength.
With a network of contacts and with more than one million confirmed and verified listings, the AiWhitePages have found their direction, fundraising for NGO's and social projects.
It was hard to believe that we had created an innovative program, where we transformed clicks into financial benefits. We had barely seen the first results when we fell in love with the program.
With the help of the CLICKTOHELP program, and the AUCTIONTOHELP, being an advertising sales by exchange program, we will have an actual chance of channelling our strengths towards an innovative Social Aid System.
Everything is falling into place, as we ambitiously define our objectives and set targets to achieve our goals.
We aspire for the AiWhitePages to become a significant Global platform for fundraising and redistribution of resources.
The paradigm shift was driving itself and was finally fulfilled in the United States. The advertising model in the United States was higher on the Internet than on Television.
The report made by the Interactive Advertising Board (IAB) states that "In the United States, the revenue collected by the Internet portals for advertisements, in 2013, reached 42.8 million dollars, surpassing what was raised by Television advertising, which left the Television Networks only 40.1 million. Most of the profits were for the Web Search Engines".
In the following years, this figure increased dramatically. The statistics reflect the annual expenditure in digital advertising in the World in 2016, as well as a projection for the period between 2017 and 2021. According to the source's forecast, spending on this type of advertising in the world exceeded $228 million USD and is expected to continue to rise over the next few years to over $375 million USD in 2021.
We want to redirect a small part of this income to those who are in need of it. We can do this on a Local level, and we can join forces on a Global scale.
